AUGUST 2017  A grand opening for NEI’s latest project with owner-operator Maplewood Senior Living and owner-developer Omega Healthcare Investors, The Mill Hill Residence, was held last night in West Yarmouth, MA. The $16 Million Memory Care Facility is part of the Maplewood at Mayflower campus, an award-winning, full service continuing care retirement community.

The 17-month project involved the construction of a 62,329 SF, two-story steel-framed LEED Certifiable building. Mill Hill Residence was built on the site of the former iconic Mill Hill Club, a popular Cape Cod music venue which had been demolished in 2014. Stein Troost Architecture designed the new community with a nautical, Cape Cod aesthetic boasting amenities such as an open-kitchen and display dining venues, bistros, Wellness Center, Acai Spa & Salon, and libraries and stone fireplaces throughout. Additionally, the community features water views, courtyards, and a walking trail. Services for the 75-unit residence will include assisted living, memory care, and additional support for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

In late 2015, NEI completed a similar property with Maplewood and Omega in Brewster, MA. Maplewood at Brewster was the first senior living community to be built in Cape Cod from operator Maplewood Senior Living. The $26.2 Million 115,000 SF luxury residential assisted living development brought 132 units of a combination of assisted living, memory care, and respite care as well as several high-end amenities to the scenic Cape Cod town.
